Fix exponents on manpages

The \u \d pair of escape sequences are not properly rendered by man.
Additionaly, the man2html + tidy workflow used to generate html versions
of the manpages fails as man2html generates <font size="-2"> that is not
strict html5 syntax.
The only writting that seems to solve the problem is to use UTF8
characters for exponents; the \[uNNN] escape sequence doesn't work
properly.
